Use of pocket computers (PDA)
The tourism portal allows for surfing with the use of a PDA.
The portal available for PDA users is not, however, the same as the web portal, for two reasons:
- A PDA does not have the same type of surfing or screen size;
- A PDA is not used under the same circumstances as a personal computer.
The PDA portal is designed to complete the service provided on the personal computer (typically used in the decision-making and planning phases), being used as a support for accessing information during your visit.
In this way, all those who have saved their planning from the web portal will be able to review their day-by-day plan on the PDA, enjoying access to information about contents and maps. You can also complete your plan with new activities, either using the ideas and suggestions of the portal or searching for restaurants, hotels, entertainment, beaches and other facilities.
Those who haven’t saved their plan will still be able to surf the contents of the portal or carry out searches using simplified pages and surfing methods.
To surf the PDA pages of the portal, you don’t have to remember or use any other address: when you access www.visitportugal.com, the portal automatically recognises your PDA and directs you to the correct pages.
