Casa de Abbades is a typical example of a Portuguese manor house of the 17th century, situated amid vineyards and meadows in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Dating from two hundred years ago there are parish records which mention, by the same name, the farmland on which the house was later built and three centuries since its construction it has had only ten owners. It was the first of these who at the beginning of the 18th century added the Chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Victories.
Visitors to the house soon respond to the atmosphere of peace and tranquility in which it is possible to enjoy the gifts of nature in their most unspoiled state - unpolluted air, clear soft spring water, silence, glorious sunny days, moonlight nights with bright stars in an endless sky and - everywhere you look - beautiful views. There is also a tennis court.
At the same time there are the conviniences of modern life - comfortable rooms for relaxing, eating, reading or playing games; a swimming-pool; gardens which provide both sunny and shady areas; a car park; communication facilities including fax; well equipped accommodation. There is also Cable TV with Sport TV channel.
We serve meals on request.
