From 21 October to 18 November, the 4th Ancient Music Festival will be returning once again to the Azores, this year with the added novelty of its visiting every island in the archipelago, when previously it was limited to the island of São Miguel.
There will be concerts at different venues all over the archipelago, performed by leading Portuguese and international soloists, who will interpret works by Bach, Dittersdorf, Haydn, Mozart, Telemann, Corelli, Vivaldi, Boccherini and Buxtehude, amongst others.
In the vast programme of events planned for this year’s festival, one of the highlights will be the “Seminar on Baroque Dance”, which will be held from 6 to 10 November, at the Azores Academy of Arts, in Ponta Delgada.
Admission is free to all of the festival’s concerts, which start at 21.30. |
