Between the Algarve and Lisbon, there are several international golf weeks to choose from.

Each year there are a number of amateur tournaments, the oldest being the Almond Blossom. Held in the Algarve every January since 1977 at the Palmares golf course, its name derives from the time of year when the almond trees are in bloom. Another famous event, the Tivoli Almansor Classic, is in its ninth year, and attracts players from all over Europe.

In Lisbon, the Estoril International Golf Week held in November is globally renowned, and is used as a model for other international events. Year after year, hundreds of golfers take part in the international golf weeks of their choice, showing just how popular these events are.
