The Guerra Junqueiro Garden, known as Estrela Garden, is located in the Lapa parish.
It was built in the 19th century (1842), initiative of the statesman Bernardo da Costa Cabral, Marquis of Tomar.
It is a naturalist garden of romantic conception, inspired in the type of English Park, surrounded by a railing, with exceptionally interesting planting, both in terms of quantity and variety.
Here we can find, 4 ponds, a wrought iron bandstand, a children playgrounds, one with iron play frames and the other of wood and a kiosk/municipal library. |
