A green and mountainous region, the Minho has many ideal spots for mountain climbing, both with and without ropes.

Enjoy the very best that the Peneda Gerês National Park has to offer. This natural sanctuary is home to some excellent climbing. Head up the granite rock to discover hilltop streams and the boltholes of shepherds. Find yourself in forests of birch and other ancient trees.

To the south of Gerês, near Vieira do Minho, experience the thrill of mountaineering as you climb the Serra da Cabreira.
