To make the game a little more exciting, our course features a few interesting difficulties to make sure you never forget your first experience of golf - Portuguese style.
Down on the coast, you will have to cope with the whims of the sea breeze. Out in the West, they make a regular appearance on the Praia d’El Rey course with its greens almost out on the beach.
And on the Belas court, between Sintra and Estoril, you come up with a frightening lake protecting the last green on the "Big Hole". And watch out for number 13 on the Quinta da Marinha course in Cascais. This spectacular par 4 runs down towards the sea.
On the Tróia peninsula, unforgettable links laid out over the Costa Azul sand dunes are very much a challenge.
And Sam Torrence, who won the Portugal Open here, could only manage a two below par.
Now, picture yourself in the shadow of the spectacular cliffs of the Algarve. Think hole 16 of the Royal course of Vale do Lobo. The ball has to soar over three cliffs before reaching the green! Or the famous Pine Cliffs “"Devils Parlour" hole. Set on one side of a ravine, you have to drive over the beach and onto the narrow green.
And the final challenge: sort out your busy lives and find the time to come and discover all the rest we have to offer.
