Portugal attracts international golfers with innovative club

Turismo de Portugal and the European Golf Tour have developed a virtual golf club with free access: www.portugalgolfmembership.com. Aimed at all international golfers, it allows them to take advantage of exclusive conditions at Portuguese golf courses, with special discounts in hotels and golf courses.

Portugal has therefore become the the first country to set itself up as a golf club, taking into account its main tourist assets and golfers' key motivations - excellent quality courses at the best prices, extra special treatment and unique conditions to practice the sport.

This is an integrated way of promoting all national golf agencies, creating conditions to attract golfers during the low season and creating a value chain amongst tourism companies.
