The exhibition "Opening the Wings again", by the authorship of Savio Figueira Corrêa, invites a reflection on the importance of the preservation of Atlantic Mata birds. The photographic records were made in the urban area of the city of João Monlevade-MG, Brazil, during the initial period of the COVID-19 pandemic (between March and September 2020), when the mandatory pick-up was enacted nationwide. With the low flow of people on the street, and a consequent decrease in vehicle traffic, an increase in the movement of varied species of birds on the streets and parks of the city has been observed.
