39th Ovibeja

39th Ovibeja
Events
"Communicating, a major challenge for agriculture" is the theme of the 39th edition of Ovibeja scheduled for the week of 27 April to 1 May 2023.
Ovibeja is a privileged stage for reflection and debate on the great issues of the day, presented at the various colloquia, seminars and workshops promoted by the organisation and various other entities throughout the event. Communication is one of the most pressing issues, bearing in mind that it is fundamental to strengthen ties between the countryside and the city and to consolidate knowledge about the rural world and the role of agriculture as a guarantor of human food and of settling people in the territory. On the other hand, and still from the point of view of the challenges, it is important to stimulate communication from within, that is, between farmers and the associations that represent them in order to facilitate the transfer of knowledge of new technologies, as well as the strengthening of technical support so that the sector may have a more active and assertive voice.
With more than 150,000 visitors, Ovibeja has more than 1,000 exhibitors, several thematic pavilions dedicated to agri-food, livestock, institutional and services, crafts, restaurants, cante alentejo, agricultural machinery, educational activities and communication of good agricultural practices. One of the hallmarks of Ovibeja is also the opening of the major spring festivals, with four major concerts and the unmistakable "ovinoites".
