After selling out six nights in a row at Wembley Stadium in London, the band announces more concerts in European stadiums that are hosting the Music of the Spheres World Tour for the first time. Kicking off in Portugal, the tour will continue through Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and Holland, as well as the UK shows in Manchester and Cardiff.


This tour stands out for its set of innovative sustainability initiatives. The show's production uses 100% renewable energy in almost every venue; brings with it the world's first on-tour generator system made from 40 BMW electric car batteries; motorized bicycles and kinetic dance floors, which allow fans to be part of the show by creating energy through them; solar panels and wind turbines at every show; a promise to reduce the tour's emissions by 50%; incentives to encourage fans to travel sustainably; and finally, for every ticket sold, a tree is planted.

Last week the band released the new video "Humankind", from their latest album, Music Of The Spheres, where they showed clues with the new cities of the tour, among them the city of Coimbra.

The 17th, 18th, 20th and 21st of May 2023 will be marked with Coldplay's big return to Portugal, in an unmissable - and environmentally friendly - experience at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra.
