Ovar in Jazz appears as a moment of learning, experimentation, celebration and listening. For four consecutive and intense days, the city of Ovar becomes the stage for great concerts, improvisation workshops, conversations and sharing of small musical moments with the public, in formal, intimate or more relaxed environments that seek to meet everyone.

We have the ambition of an eclectic programme, with the intention of not closing the festival only to the interest of a restricted public, but not losing the focus on Jazz and its language of improvisation. Thus, Ovar em Jazz covers the most consensual, the most purist and the most experimental; local, national and international bands - Jazz for all. In the 2023 edition, we highlight the great female voices of Jazz - Carmen Souza, Maria Mendes and Maria João, both on stage and in training.
