This exhibition by Pedro Gomes (Nampula, Mozambique, 1972), curated by Hugo Dinis, is an unprecedented project developed for the Sines Arts Centre. Through large drawing installations that relate to the museum space, the exhibition will investigate the problematic surrounding the two disciplines: Art and Architecture. This relationship, often in harmony, other times in conflict, becomes a very stimulating field of artistic experimentation. The artist Pedro Gomes, who develops his work in the field of drawing, has been investigating museographic devices and their consequences for the visibility of images and architecture (...) The starting point for the artistic work to be developed was the relationship between museographic devices and the architectural buildings that house them. In this sense, questioning the models of the salons of the end of the 19th century and the white cube from the 1960s onwards, among others, the artist confronts the utopian constructed architectures.
