On display at the Municipal Museum of Póvoa de Varzim, until the end of September, Póvoa de Varzim - 50 Years: from Village to City / from Dictatorship to Freedom brings together photographs of the 50 years of Póvoa / City and the 50th anniversary of the revolution of April 25, 1974.
If, on the one hand, we can see the way of life of the local population, before and after the 25th of April 1974, on the other hand, we will be witnesses of urban changes, the evolution of mentalities and culture. A journey through the history of the city, and of the country, which reminds us of the importance of Freedom, in a country that lived for decades dominated by the dictatorship.
