Events

The Praia Festivities take place in Praia da Vitória, on Terceira Island, Azores, every year during the first week of August. These festivities allow visitors to combine a leisure vacation with musical performances, parades, a gastronomic festival and other entertainment events.

The festive program includes an ethnographic parade, slaughter and folklore, sports activities, music, marches, exhibitions and the traditional bullfights, especially the bullfight on the beach. The festivities always end with a firework display, which lights up the beautiful Baía da Praia.
