Parque Animal da Quinta de Santo Inácio

Parque Animal da Quinta de Santo Inácio
The Quinta de Santo Inácio is a project with various activities and a shared theme: the Earth and the manner in which Man has used it over the generations.

The manor house and 19th-century gardens will transport you to the 19th century world of Oporto merchants, complemented by a fascinating Animal Park. All those who admire reptiles, will have the chance to see giant lizards from Timor and snakes from the Amazon. Those who prefer flying species, can visit the Insectarium, a lake with aquatic birds and a large tropical greenhouse with exotic plants and birds. This special park also includes Snow Panthers, Lemurs from Madagascar, Turtles from the Galápagos islands, Hares from Patagonia, Kangaroos from Australia and other animals that we don't normally have the opportunity to see.

Every day, from March 8 to September 29, at 11 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., there is a flying and training demonstration of birds of prey, accompanied by commentaries concerning their characteristics, habitats, habits, origins and other curiosities. An opportunity not to be missed.

For younger visitors, there is also a farm with domestic animals and the chance to learn how to make honey and cheese. Several products from the farm are available in the shop - a pleasant souvenir to round off a wonderful day out.
