The Grammy Awards are considered a reference in the music industry and were announced on the 19th of November in Las Vegas, in the United States.

Carlos do Carmo receives the recognition in the same year in which he celebrates the 50th year of his career. The moment is marked by a retrospective exhibition at Cordoaria Nacional, in Lisboa, and by the launching of the album “Fado é Amor”, with guest artists including Mariza, Ana Moura, Carminho, Camané and Aldina Duarte. Still in 2014, the documentary by Ivan Dias on the life and works of the singer, “Um Homem no Mundo” will also premiere.
