Located in a beautiful natural landscape, the Senhora da Piedade river beach takes its name from the small hermitage located nearby and that stands out on the slope of the Serra da Lousã, right in front of Arouce Castle (also called Lousã Castle), shrouded in legends and mysteries.

This beach in Ribeira de São João has two natural swimming pools - one for children and another for adults with a diving board. There are also excellent support facilities where there is a picnic area. The entire beach space is lined with shale paving and is fully accessible to visitors with reduced mobility.
