Monuments

Surviving to this day is the unique Torre do Galo. This heptagonal tower was part of the castle rebuilt by D. Dinis. Fragments of the wall go around the Manueline Main Church, a 16th-century temple. The town’s old coat of arms can be seen on the tower’s central façade.
