Church of São Miguel Arcanjo
The Church of São Miguel Arcanjo was commissioned in the 15th century. Remnants from this period include the Gothic doorway in the façade.
The church has three naves, with a Gothic triumphal arch, and gilded woodwork and figurative azulejo tile panels surrounded by decorative motifs dating from the early 20th century, of Manueline inspiration. Other key features include the high-relief altarpiece of the chapel of the Almas do Purgatório and the 16th century Renaissance style baptismal font.
