Church of São Pedro - Faro
Erected in the 16th century, the Church of São Pedro underwent profound modifications in the wake of the 1755 earthquake.
Key features include the Mannerist-style portico, dating from the end of the 16th century, incorporating a statue of S. Pedro (St. Peter) to whom the church is dedicated. The interior columns were added in the 18th century reconstruction, designed to resemble those found in the Sé Cathedral in Faro.
