At the vast estate that forms the agricultural business of Companhia das Lezírias, you will not only be able to discover a delightful leisure area, but also find out how the Lusitano thoroughbred horse is reared.

The Companhia das Lezírias is famous for the tradition and quality of its products and services, which have been provided here since the 19th century.

Created in 1836, the Companhia das Lezírias is situated between the Tagus and Sorraia rivers. It is one of the largest agricultural and forest enterprises in Portugal, covering an area that comprises the Lezíria de Vila Franca de Xira, Charneca do Infantado, Catapereiro, Paul de Belmonte and Paul das Lavouras.

Besides its agricultural area, the farm includes several dams and lakes, where visitors can find a well-equipped recreational and leisure area. Country walks, bicycle rides, canoeing, abseiling, orienteering and off-roading are some of the activities that are available at the Companhia das Lezírias.

Visitors can also spend some time at the stud-farm (Coudelaria da Companhia das Lezírias), dedicated exclusively to the breeding of the Lusitano thoroughbred horse.
