In June, Mealhada hosts one of its most popular festivals over nine days. The event livens up the city with craft exhibitions, a tavern area and free concerts by big names in Portuguese music, such as Fernando Daniel, Ivandro, Rita Guerra, João Pedro Pais, Herman José, Pedro Simões and DJ RFM, all part of a line-up designed to appeal to different audiences, which also includes fado, cinema and theater.
