The Alto Minho International Folklore Festival, which this year takes place between July 14 and 20, is a symbol of understanding and fraternization between peoples. It has welcomed groups from different countries around the world, placing Viana do Castelo among the most important international folklore festivals in Europe.

The visual poster for this XXVII edition depicts a typical, multicultural farmer, dancing smilingly with her feet high in an elegant lace-up slipper, taking us right back to the roots of this festival.
