In July, Ponte de Sor, in the Alentejo, once again hosts one of the most eagerly awaited celebrations of the year, the City Festivities, which every year attract thousands of people to the city, filling the Zona Ribeirinha and all its surroundings with life, color and animation.

The offer is wide and includes a generous display of handicrafts, gastronomy and lots of music, featuring some of the most famous names on the Portuguese music scene. There are five days of festivities commemorating the elevation of Ponte de Sor from a village to a city, which took place on July 8, 1985.
