The Penafiel Festivities, also known as the Corpus Christi Festivities, take place this year between June 18th and 21st. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the city's history, identity and culture, with days full of tradition, emotion and music.

On June 18, the highlight is the "Carneirinho & Cavalhada", a unique parade in Portugal by local schoolchildren, which has been taking place since the end of the 19th century. This is followed by the Cavalhada, with the iconic Figure of the City parading in a horse-drawn carriage. On the 19th, the highlight is the Majestic Procession of the Body of God, a secular procession with origins in the 17th century.
