Cerith Wyn Evans: Forms in Space... by Light (in Time)
Events
The exhibition features a selection of light sculptures, including Forms in Space... through Light (in Time), a large-scale installation made up of almost two kilometers of white neon, suspended in MAAT's Oval Gallery. In addition to these luminous sculptures, the exhibition also includes sound works, installations and videos, revealing the breadth and depth of the artistic practice of Cerith Wyn Evans (Wales, 1958).
The artist began his career in experimental cinema, but from the 1990s onwards he directed his work towards a broader investigation into language and perception, crossing influences from cinema, music, literature and philosophy. In recent years, he has exhibited at some of the most prestigious international institutions, such as the Pirelli HangarBicocca (2019), the Centre Pompidou-Metz (2024) and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (2025).
