FUN ist ein Stahlbad, Anne Imhof's first solo exhibition in Portugal, features mostly new works conceived for the Serralves Museum. A large-scale sculpture in the Pátio do Ulmeiro dialogues with Álvaro Siza's architecture, extending to the interior of the museum, where sculptures, paintings and videos explore abandonment, the fragility of modernity and environmental anxiety. The "steel bath" acts as a material and conceptual axis, reflecting on the body, resistance and contemporary vulnerability. Influenced by youth and queer culture, Imhof's practice integrates immersive performances, suspended between tragedy and joy. Awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale, the artist crosses sculpture, performance and image, examining power, control and social exposur .
