The 5th edition of the Literary Festival "Em Nome da Terra" ("In the Name of the Earth") returns to the village of Melo, in Gouveia, between October 1st and 5th, with what promises to be a vibrant and inspiring edition. Among the names already confirmed are leading authors Ondjaki, Ana Paula Tavares, Germano de Almeida, David Uclés, Patrícia Reis and Rui Couceiro.

In these five days of the festival, literature takes center stage, with a rich, diverse program aimed at all ages and interests. It features intimate meetings with writers, creative writing and illustration workshops, sessions dedicated to comics, training sessions for teachers, themed exhibitions, musical shows, literary dinners and moments of cultural entertainment. The Vergílio Ferreira Literary Prize 2026 will be awarded.
