In October, Marvão joins Badajoz, Spain, to celebrate Al Mossassa and takes the public back to the ninth century, in a tribute to Islamic culture and to Ibn Marúan, founder of the two locations.

Unmissable attractions of this festival are music, street theater, belly dancing, workshops and taverns of all flavors, especially Islamic cuisine, teas and medicinal herbs. You can also see artisans working live and even take donkey rides and see the general parade, with musicians, oriental dance dancers, birds of prey and figures of the time.
