Escritaria is a literary festival held annually in Penafiel that, with each edition, pays tribute to the life and work of a Portuguese language author. Luís Cardoso, one of the most important voices in contemporary literature, was chosen for this year's edition.

Penafiel will be transformed, welcoming an event filled with activities for all ages and interests to its streets, featuring interviews and roundtable discussions, conferences, music and dance, street theater, urban and public art, exhibitions, and more.
