The Black Heritage Choir, composed of voices from the emblematic Mississippi Mass Choir and directed by Jerry Calvin Smith, presents The Soul of Gospel in Portugal, a show that revisits the history of gospel from its origins in the plantations of the southern United States to urban and contemporary sounds.

With an intense and emotional approach, the concert combines tradition, spirituality and modernity in an engaging musical journey. The highlight goes to the excellence of the cast: a choir of soloists in which each voice shines individually, while contributing to the strength and harmony of the ensemble. An authentic celebration of gospel music.
