The exhibition Crossroads marks the tenth anniversary of the Nadir Afonso Museum of Contemporary Art and explores the relationship between Álvaro Siza and Nadir Afonso, based on the design of the building that houses the painter’s work in Chaves.
Opened in 2016, the museum translates into architecture a dialogue between different artistic and architectural references, establishing a connection between the work of Nadir Afonso and Siza’s career. The exhibition also traces the paths shared by the two artists - both graduates of the Porto School of Fine Arts - and the continuous crossover between art and architecture. Curated by António Choupina, it is part of the Serralves Collection’s Traveling Exhibitions Program.
