The Madeira Classical Orchestra rings in 2027 with its traditional New Year’s Concert, featuring the popular waltzes and polkas of the Strauss family. The show will take place at the Baltazar Dias Municipal Theater, with two performances on January 1. Under the baton of guest conductor Luís Andrade, the symphony orchestra presents a program that celebrates the tradition of New Year’s concerts and the richness of classical music.

Under the artistic direction of violinist Norberto Gomes, the orchestra presents a musical celebration that combines elegance, rhythm, and a festive atmosphere, inviting the audience to ring in the new year to the sounds of some of the best-known works from the Viennese repertoire.
