"Homúnculo" is a contemporary circus performance that blends dance, theater, and acrobatics to explore loneliness and the need to form bonds.

Created by Rafael Gonzalez and George Swattridge as part of the Outdoor Arts Portugal Creation Grant, it is the result of artist residencies in Ílhavo, Pombal, and Penafiel. Based on an imaginary encounter between the last two creatures in the world, the play explores the possibility of building relationships in a universe marked by isolation. A large black curtain transforms gestures into shapes and figures in constant metamorphosis, creating a physical and poetic landscape that reflects human experiences of connection and disconnection.
