Cistermúsica Fronteiras returns to Alcobaça, once again showcasing contemporary classical music while also building bridges with photography, literature, poetry, and painting.

The season features several concerts at various venues throughout the city. Established in 1992, the Alcobaça Music Festival - Cistermúsica has established itself as a celebration of music in its many forms, bringing together performances that span different genres, eras, and artistic styles. In addition to classical music, it offers a diverse program that brings together musical traditions and new artistic expressions. As part of the festival, the Cistermúsica Fronteiras series is dedicated to contemporary music and the dialogue between different forms of expression, with events taking place in the last quarter of the year. This program reinforces Cistermúsica’s commitment to diversity, experimentation, and the discovery of new paths for musical creation.
