The "Conta-me Histórias" space at Casa da Cidade showcases little-known pieces from the collections of the Almada Museums through short-term exhibitions. The new exhibition is dedicated to the Roman Saltworks of Cacilhas, with a special focus on the Roman Fish-Salting Plant of Cacilhas, which was converted into a museum in 2023.
The exhibition "Tell Me Stories: Ex Salsamentis - A Roman Industry on the Edge of the Empire" brings together archaeological artifacts associated with the production of *garum*, a fish sauce consumed during the Roman era, and with the industrial and commercial activity of this fish-processing complex, considered one of the most significant examples of the Roman presence in Almada.
