Set in the beautiful natural landscape of the Albufeira do Azibo, Praia da Ribeira is a very pleasant fluvial beach and leisure area where in summer the water normally has a temperature of more than 24ºC at the surface. With a multi-purpose grassed area, this beach has been adapted for people with reduced mobility and is equipped with several complementary amenities such as a nursery and sports areas which are sometimes used as a venue for beach volleyball championships.
There are various paths starting from here and leading into the protected area. These are open to walkers and cyclists, with bicycles being available for hire at the beach.
