Fernanda Fragateiro: Opening windows with stones
Fernanda Fragateiro: Opening windows with stones
Events
This exhibition by Fernanda Fragateiro is part of the cycle of works for the bridge linking the main building of the Serralves Museum to the Álvaro Siza Wing. After Luisa Cunha's inaugural piece, Fragateiro presents a suspended wall of blocks collected from demolitions in Lisbon. Irregular and fragmentary, it questions urban transformations marked by gentrification and speculation, preserving traces of erased memories. Between weight and suspension, density and light, the installation functions as a critical archaeology, reflecting on collective losses. In dialog with Lina Bo Bardi, it is inscribed as a political and poetic gesture, opening cracks for passage, resistance and memory.
