Curated by Antonio Somaini, this exhibition presents a series of very recent works, some shown for the first time, by contemporary artists. The works approach the "energies of AI" from a dual perspective: on the one hand, the energies that feed AI technologies (electricity, water, critical minerals, computing, human labor, capital), on the other hand, the energies that AI releases in all cultures, societies and environments, in terms of data analysis and generation, prediction, surveillance, influence, attention capture, emotion and mental control.

MAAT, due to its relationship with the former Central Tejo, the thermoelectric power station that supplied energy to the entire city and region of Lisbon, is the perfect place to present this exhibition centered on an "energetic" approach to AI.
