The Roast Lamb and Oven Rice Festival in Baião is one of the most traditional gastronomic events in the Tâmega region.
As the name suggests, the main dish is roast lamb with oven rice, a delicacy cooked in wood-fired ovens in a clay bowl. Alternatively, you can try other dishes such as roast veal or codfish, all accompanied by the famous green wine of the Avesso variety, typical of the Baião sub-region. There will also be local handicrafts, traditional music and lots of entertainment.
