Alcobaça is the Capital of Conventual Sweets in yet another edition of the International Exhibition of Conventual Sweets and Liqueurs.

For several years now, the Monastery of Alcobaça, a World Heritage Site and one of the country's greatest landmarks, has hosted this exhibition to showcase convent sweets. Some of the sweets date back to the 12th century and all are considered real delicacies. Dozens of national and international participants travel to the city to take part in this unique opportunity to taste the best convent sweets in one place.
