"The Extraordinary Company", a new production by Fernando Duarte, marks the 50th anniversary of the National Ballet Company, revisiting its artistic journey and exploring the challenges and possibilities of the future. The production brings together various aspects of the company's history, from the artists and characters to the settings, sounds, and experiences that have defined five decades of dance. Straddling memory and the future, this production takes the audience on a journey through the world of CNB and the diverse paths that have shaped its identity.

The original music by Edward Ayres d’Abreu, performed by the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Pedro Carneiro, enhances the visual and sensory dimensions of the performance.
