"Mirage" is Damien Jalet’s first creation for the Ballet du Grand Théâtre, a company with which he has been an associate artist since 2022, and marks the fourth chapter of his collaboration with Japanese visual artist Kohei Nawa.

Inspired by the phenomenon of mirages, the work follows humanity as it wanders through a metaphorical desert, exploring the constant metamorphosis of living beings through a fusion of dance, visual arts, and various materials. Through a series of transformations, the performers reveal a multitude of physical and emotional states, creating a dreamlike, sensory, and deeply immersive world where illusion, nature, and identity intersect.
