In his concertos, Mozart revolutionized composition by intensifying dramatic expression, exploring new formal and harmonic approaches, and deepening the dialogue between soloist and orchestra. Inspired by this innovative spirit, Luís Carvalho has transposed the ancient art of mosaic into the architecture of a musical score that won the 1st Prize in the Francisco Martins Composition Competition in 2017, and now, conducting the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, the premiere of his latest creation.
