More than a decade after its last performance, "Sleeping Beauty" returns to the stage in Ted Brandsen's choreographic version, reviving one of the great classics of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's repertoire. Twenty eight years after this production’s premiere, the play takes on a new visual dimension thanks to the revamped set design, costumes, and lighting design by José Manuel Castanheira, José António Tenente, and Nuno Meira. Blending tradition and modernity, the National Ballet Company revisits this classic with a fresh look. The Portuguese Symphony Orchestra will provide the musical performance, conducted by Antonio Pirolli.
