Events
"Carmina Burana" returns to the stage in a production by the National Ballet Company (CNB), featuring a new choreography by Edward Clug, presented for the first time in Portugal.
Inspired by Carl Orff’s famous work, the performance explores themes such as fate, desire, the transience of life, and collective strength through a visual language marked by intensity and visual expressiveness. The production also revives the artistic legacy of the CNB, establishing a connection between the past and the present. The musical aspect is provided by the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, the Lisboa Cantat Choir, and solo singers, under the musical direction of Pablo Urbina.
