The exhibition Salão Lisboa*, by Nuno Félix da Costa, features photographs taken in the capital since the 1980s. Inspired by the name of one of Lisbon’s first movie theaters, the title gives an identity to a series of images that explore moments of everyday life, chance encounters, and unexpected gestures.

Without seeking to document the city or construct a narrative, the photographer focuses on unusual compositions and surprising perspectives. The images reveal anonymous characters, their vulnerability and grandeur, through a lens marked by empathy and irony. Somewhere between chance and composition, photography emerges as a poetic expression of the urban experience.
