Gaetano Donizetti made a name for himself with operas such as Lucrezia Borgia and Don Pasquale. Charles Gounod stood out with Faust and the famous Ave Maria, inspired by a Bach prelude. Joachim Raff, a once prestigious composer of operas, symphonies and concertos, has unjustly fallen into oblivion. All of them, however, have left vast catalogs yet to be explored. The wind ensembles of the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa set out to rediscover them: two flutes, two oboes, two clarinets, two bassoons and two horns are enough to breathe new life into three gems from the history of music. Three emblematic works from a rich repertoire dedicated to wind instruments.
