"Lightness and Darkness" is part of the National Ballet Company's "Great Masters" series, bringing together two works from different eras: "Les Sylphides" by Michel Fokine and "The Look" by Sharon Eyal.

The program creates a dialogue between lightness and density, light and shadow, exploring the dancers’ collective strength and individuality in a relationship defined by musicality. In *Les Sylphides*, Fokine revives the romantic world of the "white ballet" through a non narrative choreography inspired by Chopin's music. Pianist António Rosado’s performance accompanies this journey between tradition and modernity, highlighting the relevance of two seminal works in the CNB’s repertoire.
